Tornado questions
What is the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning?
A watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes over a broad area. A warning means a tornado has been sighted or indicated by radar for a specific area. Both are issued by the National Weather Service and reprinted here.
Is this page an alert system?
