Overview
PerilRadar ("we", "our", "us") runs a public weather-peril watch wall at perilradar.com. We collect as little personal information as we can and use it only to run the service.
Information you give us
When you use a form (contact, partner, Research Lab submission), we receive your name, email address, any organisation you name and your message. Messages are delivered to our inbox by an email service and are not stored in a public database.
Weekly Peril Report and founding list
If you enter your email address in the Weekly Peril Report signup or the founding list, we store that address and the date you signed up, and use it only to send what you asked for. We do not sell or share the list. Every message tells you how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask to be removed through the contact form.
Membership and payments
Membership checkout is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We keep your email address, your member key and your subscription status so the member apps can open for you.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard technical information (IP address, browser, pages visited, time). We use it in aggregate to keep the site running and secure. Weather feeds are fetched by our servers, so your browser does not share your location with any weather service. The Peril Globe does not ask for your location.
Cookies and storage
The public pages do not set tracking cookies on first load. The member apps store your member key in your own browser so you stay signed in. If analytics are added later, this page will be updated first.
How we use information

- To open the member apps for paying members
- To keep the service secure and stop abuse
Sharing
We do not sell, trade or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers that run parts of the service for us (hosting, email delivery, payments), when the law requires it, or with your consent.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal duties. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS) and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information. Ask through the contact form and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
PerilRadar is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
International visitors
PerilRadar is operated from the United States, and information is processed there.
Changes
We will post any change on this page with a new date.
