Terms of Service

Last updated: September 26, 2026. These terms govern your use of perilradar.com and the member apps.

Important: PerilRadar is not a warning service. It reprints warnings issued by official weather services, with credit. Do not rely on PerilRadar for life-safety decisions. Always follow your national weather service, official alert systems and local emergency officials.

1. Acceptance

By using the PerilRadar website, member apps or any related service (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

The Service gathers official weather warnings, reports, observations and maps, and shows them with credit to the services that publish them. Warnings are reprinted as published; we do not issue, edit or restate them. Some cards show values the Service calculates itself; these are labeled MODEL.

3. Third-party data

Warnings and data remain the property and responsibility of the services that publish them, under their own terms. Their data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data shown.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not present content from the Service as your own warning or as an official warning from us.
  • Do not scrape, mirror or republish substantial parts of the Service without written permission. Take official data from its source.
  • Do not try to access non-public parts of the Service or disrupt it.
  • Use the Service only in line with applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

The site design, software, written content and the PerilRadar name belong to Brian Lee Westfall. Official data belongs to its publishers. Citing the Service with attribution is welcome.

6. Membership and billing

Paid membership is a subscription billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time; access continues to the end of the period already paid and billing stops. The founding price, and how long it stays locked, will be stated here and on the membership page before checkout opens. If we ever discontinue the member apps, we will stop billing at once and refund the unused part of the current paid period.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, PerilRadar and its owner are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including personal injury, property damage or loss of data, arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

8. Indemnification

You agree to hold PerilRadar and its owner harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

9. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend or end any part of the Service at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

The current Terms are always at this address with their date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Tarrant County, Texas.
